  17. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS :

  19. Sound card (I guess everybody has one!), mouse driver must be
  20. loaded, disk caching program (smartdrv?) strongly recommended.

  27. HOW TO INSTALL :

  29. Uncompress DEFxxx.ZIP to your DooM II directory. Done !

  31. ATTENTION:

  33.           DE may freeze on some systems when ran first or
  34.  
  35.           second time. In that case, just reboot and start DE again.

  42. HOW TO UNINSTALL :

  44. Go to your DooM II directory and type UNINSTDE.

  49. NOTE: Standard features and Speed Boost might seem unnecessary for 
  50. SIRDOOM players, but they are useful for DWANGO ones, and anyway,
  51. its nice to be able of setting permanent command-line arguments
  52. without typing them every time .

  55. NOTE: Extended features (except Speed Boost) 
  56. work ONLY if every player has DE installed
  57. with same settings.

  59. Thats not because of DE, but because of the way DooM II was made.

  65. * Safe
  66. * Has uninstallation utility (type UNINSTDE) which uninstalls DE in a matter 
  67.   of seconds.
  68. * Gives you features that no front-end has given you before.
  69. * Supports SIRDOOM, DWANGO, single player and modem-to-modem.
  70.   (to switch back and forth between multiplayer and modem-to-modem modes, 
  71.    type DEMODEM.)
  72. * Any of the options can be combined or got rid of any moment.
  73.   Example : you can play GUNFINITY with MINES with LOW GRAVITY etc.
  74. * Has nice mouse-supported interface.
  75. * Gives you random voice comment after you finish the game.
  76. * If you're going to play a WAD, presses ENTER key for you during

  103. instead of them doing that to you, play coop with Super Weapons...)

  105. * Speed Boost (actually turbo:watch er speed increase up to 400% !)
  106. NOTE: Considered cheating in DeathMatch.

  108. * Permanent blood (shoot or get shot and see blood stay on the floor)

  110. * Arnold mode (gives you advantage over monsters when using with Low Grav;
  111. created for cooperative play)

  113. * Mines (slows down your rockets , so Doom II starts looking like a strategy
  114. game (WarCraft ?) and you have to think more with every move. Why ? Try it with
  115. DeathMatch and find out.)

  117. * Safe mode (makes you undestructable against shooting monsters, and you can
  118.   go through windows, hidden & closed doors without keys or pressing switches.)

  124. If you use SIRDOOM, press ALT-J , type DE, set your options.
  125. (Make sure other players have same options.)
  126. Click "Save Settings" and you're back in SIRDOOM !

  128. If you use DWANGO, press F6 , type DE, set your options.

  130. Click "Save Settings" and you're back in DWANGO !
